15th July - Rent-a-ram?

Today I went about organising a ram for lambing the 3 Ryelands. I'm planning to have the lambs in the Easter holidays and as the gestation period for Coloured Ryelands is around 145 to 150 days (5 months), I need to have the ram around the end of October. The man I'm renting the ram from recommends me having the ram from 6-7 weeks as it means he is there for two seasons so that's what I'm going to do.
